Marilyn Manson has introduced his 11th studio album, “We Are Chaos,” out September 11th through Loma Vista Recordings.
The 10-track LP was produced by Manson and Grammy Award winner Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker) and one in all Manson’s self-portraits is featured on its cowl.
To accompany the sinister-sounding album, Manson launched the lead single and title monitor for “We Are Chaos” on Wednesday, with a music video directed, photographed and edited by Matt Mahurin in quarantine. By means of greenscreen and CGI, Manson seems as a darkish military of his personal clones and even transforms himself right into a chaos capsule, positioned on a disembodied tongue.
“Once I take heed to ‘We Are Chaos’ now, it looks like simply yesterday or as if the world repeated itself, because it at all times does, making the title monitor and the tales appear as if we wrote them at present,” Manson says. “This was recorded to its completion with out anybody listening to it till it was completed. There may be most positively a facet A and facet B within the conventional sense. However identical to an LP, it’s a flat circle and it’s as much as the listener to place the final piece of the puzzle into the image of songs.”
He continues: “This idea album is the mirror Shooter and I constructed for the listener — it’s the one we received’t stare into. There are such a lot of rooms, closets, safes and drawers. However within the soul or your museum of reminiscences, the worst are at all times the mirrors. Shards and slivers of ghosts haunted my arms after I wrote most of those lyrics. Making this report, I needed to suppose to myself: ‘Tame your loopy, sew your go well with. And attempt to fake that you’re not an animal,’ however I knew that mankind is the worst of all of them. Making mercy is like making homicide. Tears are the human physique’s largest export.”
